RULES:  as per BC Marathon Racing Committee, Vertical number plates for all divisions, Buoyancy aids for all paddlers in Divs. 7, 8 ,9 and 10 and Lightning's/MINI K2/Paddle-Ability.              NB. BLACK INSULATION TAPE MUST BE USED TO MAKE UP RACE NUMBERS ON WHITE NUMBER PLATES, AS PER MRC RULES.

*We invite Paddle-Ability and Special Needs Paddlers to participate at the 2km distance, race if your preference, though FUN in ALL cases. The club's volunteers will be delighted to assist where required and available, though may be a little busy on the day. This, I'm sure you will understand and to ensure your enjoyment of the day, it would assist us greatly if you could invite your friends/support team to ensure you receive timely assistance. We sincerely hope you can join us and enjoy the day. The event has no set impairment levels and as such, is a participation event for all. 

 

The organisers reserve the right to amend the course or safety rules as necessary subject to river conditions or other factors.


HAZARDS: Other river users including rowing clubs, weir, fallen trees and swans.


HASLER CHECK-IN: From 9:00 till 11:00 am approx.

Current BC cards or Junior Section Cards, to be shown at booking in or sent with entry.

A BC event fee of £5 is payable for non-BC members and those unable to prove their membership in division 7 to 10.

Divisions 1 to 6 are NOT allowed to race without proof of BC membership.


PRIZES: 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all divisions plus C1. Other prizes may be awarded subject to entry. 


REFRESHMENTS:  Refreshments will be on sale to spectators.

                                    Paddler only light refreshments are available free after their race. 


FEES:  Seniors £10.00 

Juniors £8.00 

Lightning race/Mini K2/ Fun/Paddle-Ability £3.00 (there will be no extra entry fee if Juniors enter both Lightning and Mini K2).
